04-25-1932 MinutesV COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. _--_ APRIL 25, 1932. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, April 25, 1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Steve noon, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 180 1932, were read and approved as read. A petition was presented asking for the extension of water mains on Jewell Avenue from Tenth Street to Funston Streeto Same was referred to the City Manager. A petition was presented asking for the construction of a sidewalk on the west side of Chicago Street from. Walnut street to University Place. Same was referred to the City Engineer. Application No. 60, asking for temporary cloth sign to be erect- ed on south side of Watson Building, southeast cornea of Santa Fe Avenue and Iron Avenue, was received, and on motion of Commissioner Benfield same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. A protest against the construction of a Spanish Court to be located on Lots 3, 51 70 9 and 11 on Seitz Street, Surveyors Plat No. 10 was received, and on motion referred to the City Engineer. Cancellation notice was received from the Cbluslbia Casualty Company for the cancellation of Policy No. CUC-33818 issued to H. D. McCoy, 131 East Minneapolis Avenue, Salina, Kansas. On motion of Commissioner Morey the City Clerk was instructed to notify Mr. McCoy to furnish a new insurance policy to take the place of policy that is being cancelled. A protest was presented against the paving of Jewell Avenue from Ninth Street to Highland Circle. Same was referrea to Me City Engineer. A protest was presented against the curbing and guttering of Ohio Street from Iron Avenue to Gypsum Avenue. Same was re- ferred to M City Engineer. A rotest was presented against the curbing,and guttering of Chicago_ street from Walnut Street to State Street. Same was re - erre o e ity Engineer. A protest was presented against the curbing, guttering and paving of Columbia Avenme from Ash Street to Elm Street. Same was referred to Me city g eer.
