03-21-1932 Minutes480 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. C01&IISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. MARCH 21, 1932. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 21, 1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, More- and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioners Benfield and Pafford absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 14, 1932 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropiration for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Spaeth (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Pafford absent. Mayor aprroved the same and is numbered 4142. Application No. 55 asking for the erection of a sign over or near the front door of building located at 201 South Santa Fe Avenue was received, and on motion same was referred to the City Manager. i A petition was presented asking for the construction of a sanitary sewer in the alley between Olive Street and Chicago Street from University Place to Walnut Street. Same was referred to the City Engineer. Gas Fitters Bond was received from J. M. Bredengerd, and on mo tion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Commis- sioners. Report of Salina Public Library for the near 1931 was received, and on motion of Commissioner Morey same was ordered filed. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing and guttering of Chicago Street from the south line of State Street to north line of Walnut Street. On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of Columbia_ Avenue from. north line of Ash Street to south line of Elm Street."~ On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled; "A resolution relating; to the curbing, guttering and paving of Front Street from south line of 71alnut Street, south to Smoky Hill River." On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of Frost Street_ from east line of Tenth Street to east line of Sherman' y On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the paving of Highland Circle from south line of Ellsworth Avenue to north line of Beloit -Ave-nue." On motion of Commissioner 1yiore7 same was referred to the Poard of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the paving of Jewell ,Avenue from west line of Ninth Street to east line of Eleventh Street, and the curbing and guttering of a portion thereof." On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and paving of Kirwin Avenue_ from the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to west line of Fourth Street.'r On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled.: "A resolution relating to the curbing and guttering of Ohio Street from south line of Iron Avenue to north line of Gypsum Av-jnue----*'-" On motion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A resolution relating to the paving of Sunset Drive from west line of Highland Circle to west line of Persrn street .n On notion, same was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
