COMb'ISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
FEBRUARY 1, 1932.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, February 1,
1932. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford
and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 25, 1932, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey,
Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays; (0) Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 4133.
City Engineer submitted Estimate No. 2 to H. J. Taylor Con-
struction Company for the construction of Storm Sewers No. 10-A
and 140 under contract dated November 19, 1931, and on motion of
Commissioner P4fford same was approved by the Board of Commission-
ers.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey,
Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 4134.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street
light at the corner of Park Street and Chicago Street. Same was
referred to the City Manager.
Application No. 52, asking for permission to erect a sign
on the south front of Cultra Company building located at the
northeast corner of Third Street and Elm Street was received, and
on motion of Commissioner Pafford same was granted.
City Clerk was instructed to publish notice in the official i
City paper of the proposed change in Zoning Ordinance, by placing
j the following described property now in the "A-" Residence District i
in the "B" Residence District, to -wit: Lots 7 and 9 and N. 5 ft.
of Lot 11, in Block Dp.e .(.l) in Replat_ of ebec!s-'.Additio�t.,in City_.of
Salina, Kansas. Said notice to be published for not less than
30 days in the Salina Journal, and that a public hearing thrreon
be held by the Board of Commissioners at the Commissioners Room
in the City Hall in the City of Salina.. Kansas on the 7th day of
T+iarch 1932 at 5:00 P. 14.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
