11-02-1931 Minutes,�_ �_ 0 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMI4B SIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. NOVEMBER 2nd, 1931. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners november 2nd, 1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth -and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 26th, 1931 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled.: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Paf- ford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is num- bered 4115. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appropriat- ing and transferring certain money from the Unexpended Balance Ac- count in the General Fund to the City Clerk's Revolving Fund." On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is num- bered 4116. City Engineers "Standard Specifications" of October 1931 were submitted, and on motion of Commissioner Pafford same were approved by the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the construction of Storm Sewers No. 10-A and No. 14. i Commissioner Pafford moved that same be approved by the Board of Commissioners and that the City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids for such sewers to be received up to and including Monday, "ovem- ber 16th, 1931 at 3:00 P. M. Motion carried. Commissioner Benfield moved that the Taxi Stand on Ash Street at the Bert Breon Building be discontinued. 14otion carried. Commissioner Morey moved that the license of the Blue Cab Com- pany be cancelled and City Clerk be authorized to issue a certificate releasing liability on insurance policy after this date. City Engineer reported favorable on the petition asking for vacation of the north and south sides of Antrim avenue from the Nest line of Ninth Street to the west City limits of the City of Salina, and the City Attorney was instructed to prepare an ordinance providing for such vacation. On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners adjourned. C y erk.
