COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING

COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 31, 1931.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August 31,
1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Henfield, Morey, Pafforc
and Spaeth and City -Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 24, 1931
were read and approved as read.
wm. Kier appeared before the Board of Commissioners relating
to application for special permit for market on North Fifth atreet.
Matter was taken under advisement one week for investigation.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3188 being an ordinance dividing
the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating and
restricting the location of trades and industries and the uses of
lands in such districts or zones and defining additional commercial
districts or zones."
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Benfield the Board of Commissioners
adjourned to meet Tuesday, September 8, 1931, on account of Monday,
September 7th, 1931, (the date of the Regular meeting) being Labor
Day.
