07-27-1931 Minutes420 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JULY 27, 1931. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 27, 1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called and Commissioners Stevens6n, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 20, 1931 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro- priating $318.29 from the Gypsum Hill Lot Owners Endowment Fund for the purchase of United States Government Bonds in accordance with the provisions of Ordinance No. 3530." On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) "Iayor approved the same and is numbered 4094. Trust Deed with a deposit of $75.00 received from Robert Lenon. Commissioner Pafford moved that same be accepted by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Treasurer be instruct- ed to place the same in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund j as provided by Ordinance No. 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. The following communication was received: Salina, Kansas. July 22, 1931. Mr. Stevenson, c/o Stevenson Transfer Company, Salina, Kansas. Dear Sir: We are wondering about the approval of the City Commission- ers, relative to the sale of two crypts to Mr. M. A. Berkey, about which Mr. Bond talked to you recently. Yours truly, MAUSOLEUM BUILDERS CORP. By, 0. G. Eikenberry 124 E. Douglas Ave., i Wichita, Kansas. Commissioner Morey moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign deed for such crypts. Application No. 43, for sign on Lot 16, Weaver's 2nd Addition (fronting nishop Street) received from the Dodge Agency, and on motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Application No. 32 for a sign on Lot 6, Twelfth Street, Weaver's 2nd Addition, received from Geo. Seitz Shoe Company, and on motion of Commissioner Pafford same was apfrured by the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners adjourned. ty Clerk
