COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

JUNE 23, 1931.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 23, 1931.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson. the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Morey and Pafford and City Attorney
Norris responded. Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance reatifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for the construction of certain curbing,
guttering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City
of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to
pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
' called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey
and Pafford (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth
absent. Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4080.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assess-
ments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina
to pay the cost of paving Fairdale Road from the.,end of the exist-
ing paving at the south line o 0 2, Block 4, L'ountry Club
Hei§hts Addition to the north line of Overhill Road in the City
of alina, Kansas, and relating'to and providing for the collection
and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Paf-
ford (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent.
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4081.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the city of
Salina, to pay the cost of paving Greenway Road from the south
line of Crestview Drive to the no i lieof rhill Road in the
City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the col-
lection and payment�of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Paf-
ford (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent.
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4082.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special

Salina to pay the cost of paving Overhill Road from the south
line of Crestview Drive to the east a of Greenway Road in the
City of Salina, Kansas, and relating to and providing for the col-
lection and payment of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Morey and Paf-
ford (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Benfield and Spaeth absent.
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4083.
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
