COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JUNE S, 1931.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June 8, 1931.
Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called
and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth
and City Attorney Norris responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 1, 1931 and Regu-
lar Meeting of June 3, 1931 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Morey the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield, Morey,
Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 4073.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to and providing for the levying and collection
and of a license or occupation tax on shooting galleries, providing
for a penalty for the violation of this ordinance and repealing
ordinance or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth same was referred to the
Ba, rd of Commissioners.
City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate
of cost for the curbing and guttering of North Street from Twelfth
Street to Thirteenth Street; curbing and guttering Twelfth Street
from North Street to Lincoln Avenue; and for the paving of the
intersection of Fairdale Road and Overhill Road.
On motion of Commissioner Morey same were adopted by the
Board of Commissioners, and the City Clerk was instructed to
advertise for bids for the above named improvements, bids to be re-
ceived up to and including Monday, June 15th, 1931 at 4:00 P. M.
Motion adopted.
City Manager Brown was instructed to advertise for bids for
exclusive concession privileges in Oakdale Park during the Swimming
Pool season of 1931. Bids to be received up to and including,
Monday, June 152 1931 at 5:00 P. M.
On motion of Commissioner Morey the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
