05-20-1931 Minutes1 1 1 1 F1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 20, 1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll was called; and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded. Bids for the erection of a Bath Pavilion at Oakdale Park, as advertised for, received as follows: N. W. Dunham J. F. O'Shea Peterson Construction Company, Johnson Bros. Construction Company, H. A. Patterson Construction Company, Alfred Lindgren Frdd L. Hartley J. A. Ferm A. W. Daleen Rosine Brothers. Commissioner Spaeth moved that the bid of Johnson Bros. Con- struction Company be accepted, using Alternate No. 2 anal one-half of Alternate No. 3, for a total of $4887.50. and that certified checks be returned by the City Clerk to the unsuccessful bidders, and that Mayor be authorized to sign contract the contract on behalf of the City for such work with Johnson Bros. Construction Company. Motion adopted. Bids for repairing roof on Salina Memorial Hall as advertised for received as follows: Gus Buehrle Salina Roofing Company. The members of the Board of Public Works, and the Trustees of Memorial Hall being present, both Boards considered said proposals, and recommended the acceptance of Proposal No. 2 of Gus Buehrle. Commissioner Pafford moved that the bid of Gus Buehrle for a total of $1895.00, on Proposal No. 2 be accepted, and that certified check be returned by the City Clerk to the unsuccessful bidder, and that the Mayor be authorized to sign contract on behalf of the City for such work with Gus Buehrle. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the Board of Commissioners adjourned. CityClerk.---
