COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 18, 1931.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 18,
1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stevenson, the roll
was called and Commissioners Stevenson, Benfield, Morey, Pafford
and Spaeth and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 11, 1931, were
regd and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Pafford the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Aes: Stevenson, Benfield,
Morey, Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0T Ma3or approved the
same and is numbered 4060.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract for the building
and construction of certain lateral sanitary sewers in Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Districts No. 165 and 166, and providing for the
issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending issu-
ance and sale of bonds . rr
On motion of Commissioner Morey same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Tay-
lor Construction Company for the construction of certain curbing,
guttering and paving improvements on certain streets in the City
of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of
bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Benfield same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance appro-
priating and transferring certain money from the City Clerk's
Revolving Fund to the General Fund."
On motion of Commissioner Spaeth the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson, Benfield,
Morey, Pafford and Spaeth (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same
and is numbered 4061.
