Salina,
Kansas.

Gentlemen:
i
The Board of Public Works has today examined the roof of
Memorial Hall and find its condition to be such that it requires
immediate attention.
We hereby approve the plans as outlined to us by the Board of
Control of Memorial Hall, namely, putting a layer of thirty pound felt
over the entire roof by a competent roofing man and properly mopped
on. This requires the removal of the cap sheet of asbestos, which in
our judgment is of little value.
We also approve the plan for calking the joints between the
stone on top of the building, and such other joints below as are found
to be in need of such repair. We also find it necessary to recondition
or repair the inside of the fire wall, and it is our recommendation
that the Board of Control of the Memorial Hall be authorized to pro-
ceed with this job immediately.
Very truly,
(Signed) G. F. York
LCVd:D
Secretary, oar o
