03-16-1931 Minutesa64 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. NO COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. MARCH 16, 1931. � Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, March 16, 1931. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dodds, the roll was called and Commissioners Dodds, Stevenson and bloore and City Attorney Norris responded. c The minu::es of the Regular Meeting of March 9, 1931 were read and approved as react.. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds, Stevenson and Moore (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4032. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance vacating certain alleys in Pleasant View Addition in the I i City of Salina, Kansas." i On motion of Commissioner Moore the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds, Stevenson and Moore j (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 4033. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled': "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 3188, being an ordinance dividing the City of Salina into zones or districts and regulating and re- stricting the location of trades and industries, etc., and the uses of lands in each of such districts or zones, and defining an addition- al Heavy Industrial District." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Trust Deed in the amount of $75.00 was received from '_�obert Johnson, Administrator of Jas. F. Johnson, estate. Commissioner Stevenson moved that same be accepted by the Board of Commissioners, and that the City Treasurer be instructed to place the deposit in the Gypsum Hill Cemetery Endowment Fund as pro- vided by Ordinance Number 3530 of the City of Salina. Motion adopted. A petition was presented asking for the paving of alley between Santa Fe Avenue and Fifth Street from Walnut Street to Mulberry Street. Same was ordered filed. Contract and Maintenance Bond received from H. J. Taylor Con- struction Company for construction of Storm Sewer No. 22. i On notion of Commissioner Stevenson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Contract and Maintenance Bond received from J. E. Hed for the repair of Ohio Street Bridge. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
