DECEMBER 299 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, December 29,
1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Dodds, the roll was
called and Commissioners Dodds, Stevenson and Moore and City
Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 22, 1930 were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds, Stevenson and Moore
(3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3998.
The following coxm�unication was received from the Board of
Public Viorks :
Salina, Kansas. December 22, 1930.
To the Honorable Commissioners of
the City of Salina.
Sirs:
We, the Board of Public Works wish to have an extension of
two weeks for the consideration of the Johnstown Sewer project.
Hoping that this will meet with your approval, we remain,

Commissioner Stevenson moved that extension of two weeks be
granted the Board of Public Works for consideration of Johnstown
Sewer project. Motion carried.
Commissioner Stevenson moved that Building Inspector notify
owner of Watson Theatre to place two lights on south side of
building on each end of steps that were constructed on sidewalk.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An
ordinance relating to signs, billboards and outdoor advertising;
relating to and regulating the location and construction and mainte-
nance of signs of signs and billboards; providing for and requiring
a license for and the payment of a license or occupation tax by
persons engaging in the business of outdoor advertising; providing a
penalty for the violation of this ordinance and repealing certain
ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Moore the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
