COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 24, 1930.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November 24,
i 1930. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Dodds and Stevenson and
City Attorney Norris responded.

read. and approved as read.
Bids for the construction of certain sidewalks as provided
s for in Ordinance No. 3970 were received from:

` Commissioner Dodds moved that action on same be deferred until
the next Regular Meeting.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance vacating a certain portion of Iron Avenue and a certain
portion of Seventh street in the City of Salina."
! On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
i and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds
and Stevenson (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the sane and is num-
j tiered 3985.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An
ordinance creating a Board of Public Works in the City of Salina,
providing for the appointment of members of such Board and defining
g the duties of such Board."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Dodds and Stevenso
Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3986.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of
lateral sewer in alley between Fourth Street and Third Street from
Pacific Street south to Forrest Avenue. Same was referred to the
City Engineer.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of
lateral sewer in alley between Third Street and Fourth Street,
from Pacific Street to Hamilton Street. same was referred to the
City Engineer.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a street
light on the corner of Sunset Drive and Highland Circle. Same was
referred to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
