Meeting was called to order by Acting fdayor Dodds, the roll was called amd Pommissioners Dodds and Stevenson and City Attorney Norris resp nded. Commissioner Helvering absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 29, 1930 were read and approved as read. I An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of (commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was Balled and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3966. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." i On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: gt&ven&axe and Dodds (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor ap- proved the same and is numbered 3967. City Engineer submitted Estimate Number 4 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the construction of Storm Sewers No. 17 and 18, Job #45, under contract awarded April 17, 1930, and on motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stevenson and Dodds (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3968. Application for taxicab license was received from DeLuxe Cab Company, and on motion of Commissioner Stevenson license was granted by the Board of Commissioners. Permission was granted to DeLuae Cab Company to stand one taxicab on West Ash Street near the Hreon-Armold Motor Company, and one taxicab on West Ash Street near the Sinclair Filling Station at the corner of Eighth Street and Ash Street. Plat was presented of Casa Loma Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, and on motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. I City Engineers plans and specifications and estimate of cost for the construction of Storm Sewer No. 19, as provided by Ordinance Number 3962, filed in the office of the City Clerk, September 29, I 1930, approved by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson, the City Clerk was in- structed to advertise for bids for the construction of the above named sewer, to be received up to and including Monday, October 13, 1930 at 4:00 P. M. emotion adopted. City Engineers plans and specifications and estimate of cost the of Lateral Sanitary Sewers No. 5-144-1450 162 for construction and 1492 filed in the office of the City Clerk, September 29, 1930, as provided by Ordinance No. 3963, approved by the Board of Commis- sioners. Motion adopted. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson, the City Clerk was in- structed to advertise for bids for the construction of the above named sewers, to be received up to and including Monday, October 13, 1930 at 4:00 P. M. Motion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance amending Section 7 of Ordinance No. 3963 relating to and creating and defining certain lateral sanitary sewer districts in the City of Salina and providing for the construction of lateral sanitary sewers therein." On motion of Commissioner Stevenson same was referred to the Bm rd of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commission- ers adjourned. My Clerk. - -'
