An ordinance was introduced for second reading ent*tled: ItAn

ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance of
Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of $94,331*63, to
pay the cost of improving certain streets and alleys in said City."
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Dodds and Stevenson (2) Nays:
(0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same
and is numbered 3956.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the City Clerk was instruct-
ed to advertise for the sale of the $94,331.63 Public Improvement
Bonds, bids to be received September 15, 1930 at 4:00 P. M.
A petition was presented protesting against the operation of
a dairy at the corner of Hancock Street and Franklin Street as the
same is unsanitary and a public nuisance. Same was referred to the
City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Stevenson the Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
