COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM, —
SALINA, KANSAS.
DECEMBER 19th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Deeember
19th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 5th, 1927;
and Regular Meeting of December 12th, 1927 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance mak-
ing appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3488.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain. claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3 ) Nays.- (0 ) The Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 3439.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3490.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 3482, passed
November 14th, 1927, relating to and prohibiting the location of
certain gasoline filling stations on certain parts of certain
streets in the City of Salina, and repealing said original Jection
1.11
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is num-
bered 3491.
The Reserve State Bank filed application for permission
to substitute with the City Treasurer in place of $5,000.00
Kinney County, Texas, Special Road Bonds Nos. 35-36-37-38-39;
$59000.00 City of Clearwater, Florida, Refunding Bonds Nos.
149-150-151-152-153; $51,000.00 County of Lake, Florida, Road and
Bridge Bonds, Dist. 10, Nos. 1-2-3-4-5 now held by the City
Treasurer as security for City deposits in said bank, $5,000.00
St. Petersburg, Florida 6% Improvement Bonds, dated July 1st,
1927, #116 to 120; $5 000.00 Orange CountFlorida 5% Road Bonds
dated July 1st, 1926 A1408 to 1412; and b.000.00 Pasco County,
Florida Hihlands R & B DIST. 6% Bonds dated July 1st, 1927,
$1,000.00 511 due July 1st, 1938; $1,000.00 #16, due July 1st,
1943; 41,000.00 #17 due July lst, 1944 and $2,000.00 #27 and 28
due July 1 st , 1951.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the proposed security was
approved and City Treasurer authorized to accept said bonds and
give his receipt therefor. Motion adopted. —
On motion of Commissioner Campbell meeting adjourned until
Tuesday, December 27th, 1927, on account of Monday being a
legal holiday.
