11-21-1927 Minutes409 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING. COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. NOVEMBER 21st, 1927. Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November 21st, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of 1�ovember 14th, 1927, were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes. On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; AYes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The I'layor approved the same and is numbered 3483. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for and requiring a license for the operating of gasoline filling stations, curb pumps and gasoline tank wagons used in connection with the sale of gasoline in the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: ` "An ordinance providing for and requiring a license for operating and conducting auctions of merchandise, and fixing a license tax therefor and providing a penalty for violation of this ordinance and repealing certain ordinances or parts of ordinance of the City of Salina. On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance prohibiting the keeping of hogs or pigs in the City of Salina and providing a penalty for the violation of this ordinance and repealing certain ordinances or parts of ordinance in the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance vacating a certain part of a certain alley .in the block bounded by Ellsworth Avenue, Jewell Avenue, `lighland Avenue and Ninth Street." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. A remonstrance was received protesting against the curbing, guttering and paving of Ninth Street from Inez Avenue to Euclid Avenue; and Grand Avenue from'Twelfth Street to Santa Fe venue; also for the paving of Washington Avenue from Eleventh Street to Twelfth Street. The above mentioned remonstrances were referred to the City Attorney. On motion of Commissioner Campbell,,m�ting adjourned.. City Ulerk.
