NOVEMBER 7th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November
7th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by1.'a.yor iielvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 31st,
1927 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance prohibiting the location of frive-in gasoline
filling stations adjacent to certain parts of certain streets
in the City of Salina, providing penalties for the violation
thereof, and defining certain nuisances and the manner of abating
the same"
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
The following communication was -presented:

To the Honorable Board of Commissioners,
City of Salina.
Gentlemen:
it has become necessary for the purchase of
additional land for the use of Gypsum Hill Cemetery, and in
view of this fact the Board of Directors at the regular meet-
ing held November lst, 1927, entered into a contract with
A. H. Be ineke , the owner of five and one-third acres of
land in the southwest corner of the cemetery for the sum of
`w4000.00.
This additional land will be ample for our use for a
number of years and inasmuch as the ownership of this land
will be in the name of the City of Salina for cemetery pa.rposes,
we woal�', respectfully request your honorable to approve the
purchase of same.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was approved by
the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, meeting adjourned.
