OCTOBER 3rd, 1927 ,
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October
3rd, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, and Campbell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 26th,
1927 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance maki7g
appropriations for miscellaneous purposrs.11
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the followsnj vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3465.
City Engineer submitted the Jb llowing report:
Salina, Kansas. September 23, 1927.
Board of City Commissioners,
City of Salina, Kansas.
Gentlemen:
The Sanitary Sewers constructed by Eberhardt and
Shriver, contractors, Salina, Kansas, under contract
dated June 3rd, 1927, have been completed in a satisfactory
manner*
I am attaching hereto final estimate of that work and
recommend that the work be accepted and the final estimate
allowed.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was received
and ordered filed, and the work embodied in report accepted
by the Board of Commissioners.
City Engineers Final Estimate for the construction of
sewers under contract dated June 3rd, 1927 was filed and
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3466.

the same and is numbered 3468.
City Engineers Estimate Number 3 for the construction of
paving under contract dated June 29th, 1927 was filed and ap-

Engineerts Estimate Number 9 on Sewage Disposal Plant
was filed and approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation Out of funds on deposit in the Fidelity
National Company of Kansas City, Missouri.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its finals doption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0 Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor ap-
proved the same and is numbered 3470.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance mak-

City Engineer's Estimate Number 5 for the construction of
Paving under contract dated April 18th, 1927 was filed and
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance
making an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2 ) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3472.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its finals doption the roll was
called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (05 Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3473.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance regulating the speed of vehicles crossing certain
bridges in the City of Salina, and providing a penalty for the
violation thereof.'
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3474.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the graveling of Sheridan street
from the south line of Crawford Street to the north line of
Reoublie Street."
On ration of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Campbell
(2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 426.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page of
Resolution Boot` Number 2.
Plat of Fairview Addition was presented with certificat e of
approval by City Planning Commission, and on motion of Commis-
sioner Campbell same was approved as recommended by the City
Planning Commission, and City Clerk instructed. to attach his
certificate showing such approval.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, meeting adjourned.
