Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, September
lst, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Camp-
bell, the roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dodds
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 29th, 1927,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its.final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote.was,had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3453.
Engineers Estimate Number 8 on Sewage Disposal Plant was
filed and approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation out of funds on deposit in the Fidblity National
Bank and Trust Company.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3454.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the ib llowing vote was had;. Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered.3455.
City Engineers Estimate Number 1, for the construction of
sewers, under contract dated June. 28th, 1927 was filed and
approved by the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final acb ption the roll was called
and the :5 llowing vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3456.

sewers, under contract dated June 3rd, 1927, was filed and
approved by the Board of Commissioners.

adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)

the same and is numbered 3457.

approved by the Board of Commissioners.

ing an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and
Dodds (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3458.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to a sewer across the right-of-way
of the Union Pacific Railroad Company in the alley between
Minneapolis Avenue and Ellsworth Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was adopted
as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the
following vote was.had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays:
(0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 424.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Pages 63 to
66 inclusive, of Resolution Book Number 2.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance authorising and providing for the issuance of
Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas in the sum of
$158,881.96 to pay the cost of improving certain streets and
constructing certain main and lateral.sanita ry sewers and con-
structing certain storm sewers in said City."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
Pool Hall application for the last half of 1927 was re-
ceived from the Kamer Pool Hall.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds license was granted on
approval of bond.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, meeting adjourned until
September 12th, 1927 at 5:00 P. M.
