COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
CO MMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 17th, 1927.
- Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August
17th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering and Campbell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance making a levy of taxes -for general revenue and
other purposes in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the year 1928."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3449.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessments against certain
property in the City of Salina to pay the cost of constructing
certain sidewalks therein."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the followinvote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2) Nays: (05 Commissioner Dodds absent. The
Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3450.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessment against certain
property to pay the cost of constructing certain water flervice
pipes in certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll
was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering
and Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent.
The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3451.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance levying special assessments against certain
property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on certain lots and
parts of lots and on the parkways abutting thereon in the City
of Salina. 11
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and
Campbell (2 ) Nays: (01 Commissioner Dodds absent. The 1,"ieyor
approved the same and is numbered 3452.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell meeting adjourned.
