COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
AUGUST 8th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, August
8th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 1st, 1927
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Ordinance Number 3188 by adding certain
lands to the "C" Commercial District as defined therein."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections, and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: (0) Nays:
Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) The Mayor declared the
ordinance not adopted.
A Resolution was introduced for second. reading entitled:
"A resolution concerning the appraisers report for the opening
of Eleventh Street. "
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution wasa dopted
as read by the following vote: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3 ) Nays: (0 ) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 423.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating a Rart of Twelfth Street between Iron
Avenue and Walnut Street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
City Manager Ragle submitted tentative budget for year
1928.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the City Clerk give
notice in the official city paper as provided by law.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell meeting adjourned.
