COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JUNE 20th, 1927.
Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners, June
20th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
Meeting was held for the purpose of hearing any complaints
that may be made by property owners as to the fairness and
validity of the valuation placed by the appraisers as per their
report on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City,
for the cost of curbing, guttering and paving:
Pacific Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Front Street;
Crawford Avenue from Tenth Street to the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Right-of-way;
For the paving of Country Club Road from Marymount Road to
Hilldale Road.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and
paving Crawford Avenue from Tenth Street to the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Right -of -Way was taken up and read as follows:

We, John Frederick, Ralph A. Smith and Alex Berg, being
duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself,
does hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate
in the City of Salina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any
of the property liable to special assessment for the cost of
curbing, guttering and paving Crawford Avenue from Tenth
Street to the Missouri Pacific Railroad Right-of-way in said
City, as more particularly described and provided for in
Ordinance Number 3344 of the City of Salina; and that each of
us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a true
and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground
abutting on such respective street as above described without
regard to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the
distance to be improved as set forth and designated by the
Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance Ilumber 3344 of the
City of Salina. So help as God.

as read. Motion adopted.

of Pacific Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Front Street was taken
up and read as follows:
