MAY 24th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of 'Commissioners, May 24th,
1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading
and paving of Inez Avenue from the west line of Ninth Street
thence west 700 feet to the west city limits."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the fol-
lowing vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds
(3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 420.
The foregoing resolution is recorded in full on Page 59
of Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and
paving of Ninth Street from the north line of Otis Avenue to
the north line of nez Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was
read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the
following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds
(3 ) Nay -s: (0 ) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 421.
The foregoing resolution is recorded in full on rage 60
of Resolution Book Number 2.
The matter of granting the dentists of the City of Salina
a special privilege to leave their cars standing in the two-
hour parking district of the City of Salina without any restric-
tion, was generally discussed by the Board of Commissioners.
Commissioner Dodds moved that no more special permits
be granted to anyone.
Commissioner Dodds moved that on account of the next
Regular Meeting coming on May 30th, 1927, a legal holiday, the
Board of Commissioners will meet on Tuesday, May 31st, 1927 at
5:00 P. M.
