COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 16th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 16th,
1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds
and City Attorney Norris responded. .
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 9th, 1927,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.'
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Camp-
bell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3373.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the construction and reconstruction
of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Camp-
bell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3374.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the grading and paving of Crestview
Drive from the west line of Marymount Road to the west line of
• Hilldale Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was read
and adopted by sections and on its final a (I ption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Camp-
bell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 415.
The foregoing resolution is recorded in full on Page
of Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the grading and paving of East Park Lane
from the north line of Crestveiw Drive to the south line of
Country Club Road.ft
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ree+_dlatt nwas read
and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Camp-
bell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 416. The -hove resolution is recorded in full on Pages::'
resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the grading and paving of Nest nark
Lane from the north line of Crestview Drive to the south line of
ountry Club Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was read
and on its final a doption the roll was called and the following
vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays:
(0) Mayor approved the same and is numbered 417. The a bove resol%
tion is recorded on Page s-' Resolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and
paving of Twelfth Street from the south line of Iron Avenue to
the north line of Walnut Street."

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the resolution was
adopted as read and on its final a doption the roll was tailed
and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 418.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and defining certain Main Sewer Dis-
tricts in the city of Salina, designated as Main Sewer Districts
"N" and "0" and providing for the construction of Main Sewers
in the Districts so created; providing for the cost thereof
and for the levy of special assessments against the property
in such districts for the payment of such costs, and for the
issuing of bonds therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and defining certain Lateral Sewer
Districts in the City of Salina, designated as Lateral Sewer
Districts numbered 129 to 140 inclusive; providing for the
construction of lateral sewers in certain of the districts
so created; providing for the cost thereof and for the levy-
ing of special assessments against the property in such
districts for the payment of such cost, and for the issuing
of bonds therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading
and paving of Gypsum Avenue from the west line of Ohio
Street to the west line of Indiana Avenueo" [�
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the 6
Board of Commissioners.
Plat of Dimick's Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas
was presented, and on motion of Commissioner Campbell same
was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
City Engineer was instructed to have sewer, water and
as stubbed in on certain lots on Eleventh Street from Elm
treet to Bishop Street and on Crawford Avenue from Tenth
Street to the Missouri Pacific Right -of -Tay where property --
owners have failed to do so on streets to be paved, in accord-
ance with Ordinance Number 2410 of the City of Salina.
City Manager Ragle appointed Ben Moods as Superintendent
of the Swimming Pool for the season of 1927.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the appointment was
confirmed by the Board of commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds meeting adjourned.
