COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 9th, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, May 9th,
1927. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell,
the roll was called and Commissioners Cle1hpbail and Dodds and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 2nd, 1927, were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating a certain alley in the City of Salina,
Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3370.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the condemnation of certain private
property for the purpose of opening, widening and extending
Eleventh Street, south of Park Street; designating a benefit
district and providing for the appointment of Commissioners to
make an appra Biome t and to assess damages and benefits."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes; Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3371.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that certain unplatted tracts of land
which join the present limits of the City of Salina, Kansas,
be added to, taken into and made a part of the City of Salina;
extending the city limits of said city so as to include such
added land; defining the corporate limits of said City as extend-
ed, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict with the provisions of this ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and
Dodds (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting
Mayor approved the some and is numbered 337.4
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing and guttering of
Columbia Avenue from the north line of Iron Avenue to the
south line of ohnstown Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was read
and adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 413.
The foregoing resolution is recorded in full on Page 1-
of Hesolution Book Number 2.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and
paving of Minneapolis Avenue from the east line of Santa Fe
Avenue to the west line of Osborne Street. t1
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the resolution was read
and adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2 )
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 414.
The foregoing resolution is recorded in full on page
of Resolution Book Number -2.

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the grading and paving of Crestview
Drive from the west line of Marymount Road to the west line
of—RI—11dale Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
It resolution relating to the grading and paving of East Park
Lane from the north line of Crestview Drive to the south line
0 ountry Club Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the grading and paving of West Park
Lane from the north line of Crestview Drive to the south line
o Country Club Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing gutter-
ing and paving of Twelfth Street from Iron Avenue to halnut
Street. Same was ordered filed.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and
paving of Twelfth Street from the south line of Iron Avenue
to the north line of Walnut Street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds meeting adjourned.
