Adjourned meeting of the Board of Commissioners'. April
8th, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering and Campbell
responded: Commissioner Dodds and City Attorney Norris absent.
The City Engineer's Standard Plans and Specifications for
all public improvements, with special plans, specifications and
estimate of cost for the following work, all filed with the City
Clerk on April 7th,1927, were presented to the Board, to -wit:
Paving, curbing and guttering Pacific Street from
Santa Fe Avenue to Front street;
Paving, curbing and guttering Crawford Avenue from
Tenth Street to East line of Mism uri Pacific Rail-
road Right-of-way;
For paving Country Club Road from the end of the
present slabs` -ori ; rymoundTo—ad, thence east 1880
feet to Hilldale Road;
For curbing and guttering south side of Country Club -
Road between Marymount Road and Hillda a oad, and
for curbing and guttering around the park lying south
of Country Club Road, on the east side of West Park
Lane and om the west side of East Park Lane.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same were adopted
and approved by the Board of Commissioners and the City Clerk was
instructed to advertise for bids for the above named work, bids
to be received up to and including Monday, April 18th, 1927 at
3:00 P. M. Motion carried.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, gutteringexcavating,
grading and paving Eleventh Street in the City of 0alina, Kan-
sas from the north line of Elm Street to the south line of
Bishop Street in said City, and providing for the cost thereof,
how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment
therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
City Clerk was instructed to give notice to property
owners on the above named streets to connect their premises
with water, sewer and gas, as provided by ordinance .
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, meeting adjourned.
