Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Tdarch 28th,
1927. Meeting was called to order by T:Iayor lelvering the roll
was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and odds and
City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of T,Iarch 21st, 1927,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds ti -e ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption.the roll was
called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3350.
An ordinance was introduced for second readin� entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the salary of the Police udge, and
repealing Section: 8 of Ordinance plumber 3323.11
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections , and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering, Camp-
bell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3351.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing and guttering of
Country Club Road in the City of Salim , fansas, from the east
line of T.arymount Road to the west line of Hilldale Road."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is nurr:-
bered 3352.
Petitions were presented asking for the installation of
street light on the corner of Tenth Street and South Street; and
on Eighth -:,Street between Walnut Street and Iron. Avenue.
On motion, both petitions were referred. to the City
Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the extension of two-
hour parking zone on Santa Fe Avenue between 71alnut Street and
Mulberry street.
On motion, same was ordered filed.
An ordinance was introduced fa, first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 3317.'
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
C. B. Briscoe filed bonds for sidewalk and curb returns to
be constructed according to contract aviard.ed March 21st, 1927.
Same was referred to the City Attorney.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled:
"A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, grading and
paving South Street from the west line of College Avenue to the
east line of T,iontrose Street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same vies referred to the
it Board of Commissioners.
City Manager Ragle reported that a tract of land lying west
of the Sewage Disposal Plant from the regular road, could be
purchased from James Haley at a price of ,225.00.
City Attorney was instructed to include this tract of
land in the original contract.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, meeting adjourned.
