An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and designating the names of certain
unnnamed streets in the City of Salina, and changing the names of
certain streets therein."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3347.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of
the City of Salina, Kansas in the sum of $814.96 to pay the,,cost
of constructing a certain lateral storm sewer in said City.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3348.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:

the City of, `'alina, Kansas, in the sum of j�4956.11 to pay the cost
of constructing, installing and equipping certain street lighting
systems on certain streets in said City.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0 ) Commis. oner Helvering absent. Acting P,Zayor approved
the same and is numbered 3349.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing and guttering
of Country Club Road from east line of iarymaunt Road to the
west line of Hilldale Road. Same was ordered filed.

ordinance providing for the curbing and guttering of Country Club
Road in the City of Salina, Kansas, from the east line of 14arymount
Road to the west line of Hilldale Road.

MARCH 21st, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, March
21st, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell,
the roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Dodds and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of thelegular Meeting of March 14th, 1927 were
read and approved as read.
Bids for the construction of sidewalks as advertised for
were received from:
Pete Ahlstedt,
C. B. Briscoe,
Saum Bros.
W. E. S urbaugh.
City Engineer's setimate of cost for the above named work
was read, and on motion of Commisd oner Dodds same was ordered
filed.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the contract be awarded to
C. B. Briscoe as per his bid submitted; and that certified checks
be :returned to unsuccessful bidders; also that Mayor be authorized
to sign contract.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriations for miscellaneous purposes.'
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll w as called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2)
Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved
the same and is numbered 3346.

On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the salary of the Police Judge, and
repealing Section 8 of Ordinance No. 3323."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition eras presented asking for the construction of a
sidewalk on the south side of Gypsum Avenue from Columbia Avenue
east to the east line of Stack's Addition.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
City Manager.
Taxicab policy from C. 0. Sandberg was received and referred
to the City Attorney.
Acting Mayor Campbell appointed the following named Judges
and Clerks for the Primary Election of March 28th, 1927 and for
the Regular City Election of April 5th, 1927:
