An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance dumber 3093 of the
Uity of Salina, entitled, 'An ordinance providing for the election
of certain city officers of the City of Salina and prescribing
the manner of conducting the same and the manner of making re-
turns thereof' and repealing said original Section 2 of said
ordinance."

FEBRUARY 21st, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, February
.lst, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 14th, 1927
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
appropriation2 for miscellaneous purposes."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3332.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making
anappropriation out of funds on deposit in the Fidelity National
Bank & Trust Company."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3333.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:

"An ordinance relating to the appropriation of certain private
property for the opening, widening and extending of Eleventh Street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the appropriation of certain private
property for the opening and extending of Custer street."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the 'appropriation of certain private
property for the opening, widening and extending of Sherman street.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the appropriation of certain privatS
property for the opening, widening and extending of Franklin treet.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board. of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance amending Section 4 of Ordinance Number 3317 entitled,
'An ordinance regulating the narking of vehicles on certain streets
in the City of Salina and providing a penalty for the violation
of this ordinance' and repealing said original Section 4 of said
ordinance."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.

A petition was presented asking for the installation of
are lights on Fifth Street from Prescott Avenue south on Fifth
Street. Same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the installation of
an arc light at the corner of Sunset Drive and Highland Circle.
Same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, guttering
and graveling Montrose Avenue from South Street to Morrison
Avenue. Same was referred to the City R:anager.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, guttering
and graveling Minneapolis Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Osborne
Street. Same was re (erred to the City :;tanager.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a
sanitary sewer in alley between Minneapolis Avenue and Ellsworth
Avenue from Fourth Street to Osborne Street. Same was referred
to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a
setter on Ninth Street from Hamilton Avenue north to the north
line of Reimolds Addition on Ninth Street. Same was referred
to the City Manager.
Band contract for the year 1927 was received and approved
by the Board of Commissioners.
Mayor Helvering appointed Roy F, Bailey as a member of
the Mater Works Advisory Board for a term of three years.
Appointment confirmed by the Board of Commissioners.
Mayor Helvering appointed Chas. H. Bren as a member of the
City Planning Commission to fill vacancy caused by resignation of
John J. Eberhardt. Appointment confirmed by the Board of Com-
missioners.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
