Salina, Kansas.
January 31st, 1927.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners January
31st, 1927. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering and Campbell
and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 24th, 1927
were read and approved as read.

An Ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that certain platted additions or
sub -divisions, and certain unplatted tracts of land, which
join the present limits of the City of Salina. Kansas be added
to taken into and made parts of the City of Salina, Kansas;
extending the city limits of said city so as to include such
added land; defining the corporate limits of said City as
extended, and repealing all ordinances or parts of ordinances in
co nflict with the provisions of this ordinance.rr
Onm otion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll
was called and the f ollowin vote was had; Ayes: Helvering
and Campbell (2) Nays: (05 Commissioner Dodds absent.
The Mayor approved the sante and is numbered 3323.
An application was received from the Blue Cab Company
asking for parking permit on West Ash Street along the National
Drug Store.
Commissioner Campbell moved that same be not allowed.
A petition was presented asking for a light on College
Court between Fifth and Ninth Streets. Same: was referred to
the City Manager.
City Engineer was instructed to investigate the soft
water proposition north of the City.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
