01-10-1927 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR hVETING. COMMIBSIONERS ROOM$ SALINA, KANSAS. JAN A RY 10th, 1927. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Janu- ary 10th, 1927 Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of :January 3rd, 1927 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance authorizing and directing the issuance of General Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing a s)t em of Disposal forks firr the purification of the sewage of said City." On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adop- tion the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3324. An ordinance was introduced for second reading en- titled: "An ordinance providing for the constructing , installing, equipping and maintaining of a street lighting system of Santa Fe Avenue between the south line of Walnut Street and the north line of Mulberry Street, and awarding a contract for the construction, installation and equipment of such system, and providing for thd--i&vying and assessment of special assessments against the property abutting upon the street so improved for the payment of such cost. On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had: Ayes: Helvering., Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0 ) The 11iayor approved the same and is numbered 3325. Applications for Pool Hall license for the first half of 1927 were received from: 71. A. Wilhelm Geo. Holzmeister S. U. Rohrer C. C. Chadwick L. 0. Wilhelm John S. Gordon Lamer Hotel C. M. Allen On motion of Commissioner Campbell, pool hall licenses were issued. Omer D. Smith, newly appointed Police Judge, presented his bond, and on motion of Commissioner Dodds same was approved by the Board of Commissioners. On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
