Adjourned greeting of the Board of Commissioners, December
14th, 1926.0-�14eetiig was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
Bids for the construction of a Sewage Disposal Plant in
the City of Salina, as advertised for, were received from:

Carrothers,& Nelson, Kansas City, Missouri.

R. 0. Shriver, Salina, Kansas.

Geo. Y. Robertson & Chas. Robeck, Lincoln, Nebraska.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell, the Board of Com-
missioners took a recess until 3:00 o'clock P. M., at which time
the Commissioners re -convened. Present the same as before.
City Engineer submitted tabulated report of all bids
that were received.
The Board of Conmi.issioners then proceeded to carefully
check all bids that were submitted.
Commissioner Campbell moved that all bids be rejected and,,
be returned except those of H. J. Taylor Construction Company
and R. 0. Shriver.
At 6:30 o'clock P. Pel., Commissioner Campbell moved that
Board of Commissioners recess until Wednesday, December 15th,
1926 at 10:00 o'clock A. M. !:lotion carried.
On December 15th, 1926 at 10:00 A. M. the Board of
Commissioners met pursuant to the recess taken on December 14th,
lleeting was called to order by Pryor Helvering, the roll was
called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and Dodds and
City Attorney Norris responded.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the bid of H. J. Taylor
Construction Company be accepted, the City reserving the right,
to select the alternate types of pumps and electrical equip-
ment until Monday, December 20th, 1926, and that the certified
check of the unsuccessful bidder be returned. ellliondadopted
by the following vote: Ayes: Helvering, Campbell

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance confirming and ratifying a contract for the
building and construction of a system of disposal works for the
purification of the sewage of Salina, Kansas, and providing for
the issuance and sale of temporary notes to payotpS 'bonds
there-
of as the work progresses, pending the issuance of bonds as
required by law.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
