COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVET.ZBER 23rd, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, Novem-
ber 23rd, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor
Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering
and Campbell and City Attorney Norris responded. Commission-
er Dodds absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 22nd,
1926 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordii-nnee providing for the building and construction of
a system of disposal works for the petrification of the sewage
of Salina, Kansas; providing for the awarding of a contract
or contracts for such construction; and for the issuance of
bonds in payment of the cost and expense thereof. is
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its finala doption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Camp-
bell and Helvering (2) Nays: (0) Dodds absent. The 11ayor
approved the same and is numbered 3312.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for a license tax on certain occupa-
tions in City of Salina and providing a penalty for violation
thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final_ adoption the
roll was called and the fnllowina vote was had; Ayes: Helver-
ing and Campbell (2 ) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent.
The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3313.
An ordinance arras introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance dividing the City of Salina into certain wards
and voting precincts, and defining the boundaries thereof,
and repealing Ordinance No. 1763.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes : Camp-
bell and Helvering (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds ab-
sent. The 1&tyor approved the same and is numbered 3314.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance regulating the parking of vehicles on certain
streets in the City of Salina and providing a penalty for the
violation of this ordinance.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
The following resolution was introduced and read:
Providing for the curbing, guttering and paving public

street in City of 0alina which lies along the section line
common to Sections 8 and 17 in Township 149
Viest.
Commissioner Campbell moved that the City Clerk publish
notice of the special meeting to be held December 20th, 1926
at 5:00 P. M. at the meeting room of the Board of Commission-
ers of said City, which date has been fixed as the time and
place for the consideration of such resolution, and that any
or the owner of any property affected
citizen of said City,
thereby, may appear and make written objection to the cmntem-
said resolution at

said time and place.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
