COMMISSIONE-'RS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR FETING.

SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 22nd, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners November
22nd, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Aelvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 15th,
1926 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for a license tax on certain occupations
in City of Salina and providing a penalty for violation there-
of."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the building and construction of a
system of disposal works for the purification of the sewage
of 6a 1 ina , Kansas; pr ov icTing for the awarding of a contract or
contracts for such construction; and for the issuance of bonds
in payment of the cost and expense thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance dividing the City of Salina into certain wards
and voting precincts and defining the boundaries thereof, and
repealing Ordinance No. 1763."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, same was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
Sewer contract and bond for the construction of lateral
storm sewer in Country Club Heights Addition, was presented
by C. T. Snyder, and same was approved by the Board of Commis-
sioners.
Payor Helvering appointed John Frederick, C. J. Peck and
Alex Berg as appraisers to appraise the property liable to
special assessment for the construction of a lateral storm
sewer in Country Club Heights Addition.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, appointments were con-
firne d by the Board of Commissioners,
Application for taxicab license was received from V1. C.
Riggs. On motion same was granted by the Board of Commission-
ers.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the time for burning leaves
until 7:00 P. M. be extended until December 22nd, 1926.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners
adjourned until Tuesday, November 23rd, 1926 at 5:00 P.' M,
