November 8th, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November
8th, 1926, Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of 14ovember 1st, 1926,
and the CAnva ssing Board Meeting of November 5thm 1926 were
read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance vacating a portion of a certain alley in Surveyor's
Plat No. 31 in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and is
numbered 3308.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the reconstruction of certain sidewalks
in the City of Salina."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called
and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and
Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The 116yor approved the same and is num-
bered 3309.
Bids for the construction of a lateral storm sewer in
Country Club Heights were received from:
L. W. Rexroad,
C. T. Snyder.
Commissioner Dodds moved that contract be awarded to
C. T. Snyder, and that certified check be returned to unsuccessful
bidder. Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance specifying and selecting material and letting a
contract for the construction of a lateral storm sewer in and for
the purpose of draining lateral storm sewer district No. 3303
of the City of Salina.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the vacating of alley
in Block 1, Pleasant View Addition from south line of nirwin
Avenue to south.line of Claf lin Street; also east and west alley
in said block from the west line of Lots 16 and 17 Block 1, to
east line of Lots 6 and 7 in Block 1, Pleasant':. View Addition.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the construction of a
sidewalk on the south side of Bond Street from the west line of
Highland Avenue to east line of Ninth Street.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
