Commissioners Proceedings, regular Meeting.
COMMISS IONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBER 25th, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October
25th, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds and City A ttorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of October 18th, 1926
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance creating and defining Lateral Storm Sewer District
Number 4; providing for the construction of a lateral storm
sewer in said district; providing for the cost thereof and for
the levying of special assessments against the property in such
district for the payment of such cost, and for the issuing of bonds
therefor."

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the cr dinanee was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell, Dodds
and He lvering (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3303.
City Manager Nagle reported favorably on the following
petitions:
For the curbing, guttering and paving Minneapolis Avenue
from Santa Fe Avenue to Osborne Street.
For the construction of a sidewalk on the west side of
Ninth Street from a point 300 feet south of Crawford Avenue,
south to Frost Street.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to the reopening of a portion of the
north and south alley between Santa Fe Avenue and Fifth 'street
north of Elm Street in the City of Salina, Kansas, and granting
to the Union Pacific Railroad Company rights of way across said
alley."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the closing of the
East 283 feet of the alley between Park and Ash Streets.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
A request was received asking for the closing of Eighth
Street from the south line of Missouri Pacific,Railway Right -
of -Way to the south line of Santa Fe Right -of -day.
On motion, same was taken under advisement by the Board of
Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to taxicabs."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, same was referred to the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
