On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The ``ayor approved the same and is numbered 3293. An ordinance was introduced for second reading en- titled: "An ordinance authorizing the acceptance of a proposal from the United t'ower a Light Corporation for the furnishing of electric current for street lighting in the City of Salina and for the installation, maintenance and operation of street and other lights, White May Systems, etd., in said City, at the charges and upon the conditions set forth therein, and providing for the execution of a contract by the City and said Company according to the terms of such proposal, and repealing all other ordinances or parts of ordinances, and all other contracts or parts of contracts in conflict with the contract hereby author- ized and with the provisions of this ordinance. On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinancewas introduced for first reading entit- led: "An ordinance relating to taxicabs." On motion of Commissioner Dodds same was referred to the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer submitted plans and specifications and estimate of cost f,or the installation of a 'White Way on: Twelfth Street from Ash Street to Bishop Street; Seventh Street from Ash Street to Elm Street; Ash Street from Santa Fe Avenue to Twelfth street; Santa Fe Avenue from mulberry to Claflin; Iron Avenue from Iron "venue bridge and center line of Section 1R-14-2; Iron Avenue from Ninth street to College Avenue. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, October 4th, 1926. Meeting was called to order by 1'layor Helvering, the roll was, called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbelland Dodds and CJty Attorney Norris responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 27th, 1926 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriations for miscellaneous purposes." On motion of Commissioner Campbell, the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0 ) The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3292. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entit- led: "An ordinance amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 3265 entitled, 'An ordinance extending the route of the bus line operated by the Salina Street Railway Company as authorized by Ordinance No. 3227, and changing the schedule fixed in said Ordinancet, and repealing said original section 1 of Ordinance No. 32651, and providing for the discontinuance of street car service on that portion of the 'aialnut Street line west of Eleventh Street."
