COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
SEPTEMBER 13th, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners,
September 13th, 1926. Meeting was called to order
by Acting Mayor Campbell, the roll was called and Com-
missioners Campbell and Dodds and City Attorney Norris
responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular meeting of September
8th, 19263, were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading
entitled: "An ordinance authorizing the sale of certain
real estate by the City of Salina and directing the
execution of a conveyance thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption
the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Campbell and Dodds (2) Nays (0) Commissioner
Helvering absent. Acting Mayor approved the same and
is numbered 3289.
A petition was presented asking for the construction
of a sidewalk on the west side of Front Street, from
Walnut Street south 400 feet.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the construction
of a sidewalk on the north side of University Place
from Chicago Street to Missouri Pacific Railroad.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the extension
of water main on Rahm Street.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
Commissioner Dodds moved that the City Attorney
draft an ordinance submitting the proposition to the
votdrs at the Election of November 2nd, 19263, for the
sale of the Street Department property on Fifth Street
at a price of not less than $7,000.00
On motion of Commissioner Dodds, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
