COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, ADJOURNED MEETING.
CONMISS IONERS ROOKS,
SALINA, KANSAS.
JULY 20th, 1926.
Adjourned meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July
20th, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering,
the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering, Campbell
and Dodds and City Attorney Norris responded.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City
of Salina, Kansas to pay the cost of curbing, excavating,
grading and graveling with sand clay Ellsworth. Avenue from
the east line of Santa Fe Avenue to the crest line of Usborne
Street; for the curbing, excavating, grading and graveling
with sand clay College Avenue from the south line of South
Street to the north line of Morrison Avenue; for the curbing,
guttering, excavating, grading and graveling of Ash Street
from the west line of the right-of-way of the Missouri acific
Railway Company to the east line of Olive Street; for the
excavating, grading and graveling with sand clay of Third
Street from the south line of Iron Avenue, south to the
oky Hill River; for the excavating grading and paving
Baker Street from the south line of youth Street to the north
line of Morrison Avenue, all in the City of Salina, Kansas,
and relating to and providing for the collection and payment
of such assessments.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
He lvering, Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor
approved the same and is numbered 3269.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the
City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of building and con-
structing a lateral storm sewer in lateral storm sewer district
Number 2 in said City, and relating to and providing for the
collection and payment of such assessments.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll
was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering,
Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 3270.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance authorizing the conveyance of certain real estate
by the City of Salina to C. H. Harper and. Mary D. Harper.
On motion of Commissioner Dodds the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering,
Campbell and Dodds (3) Nays: (0) The Mayor approved the
same and is numbered 3271.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
