07-12-1926 Minutes1 1 1 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR M, STING. C01,91ISSIONE+ S ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. JULY 12th, 1926. Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, July 12th, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll was called and Commissioners Helvering and Campbell and City -Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 6th, 1926 were read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: If ordinance providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds in the City of Salina, Kansas in the sum of $17,355.15 to pay the cost of improving certain streets in said City. If On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Campbell and He leering (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Payor approved the same and is numbered 3264. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance extending the route of the bus line operated by the Salina Street Railway Company as authorized by Ordi- nance Number 3227, and changing the schedule fixed in said Ordinance* If On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering and Campbell (2) slays: (0) Commissioner Dodds absent. The Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3265. A petition was presented asking for the curbing, gutter- ing and paving South Street from College Avenue to Montrose Avenue. Same was referred to the City Manager. Mayor and Commissioners appointed John J. Eberhardt, as a member of the City Planning Commission to fill vacancy caused by reason of Ralph Andersons resignation. A plat of Hansen Court on East Iron Avenue was presented, same having been approved by the City Planning Commission., and on motion same was adopted and ordered filed. Commissioner Campbell moved that the City Manager and City Attorney investigate Occupation Tax Ordinance. On mot ionof Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission- ers ommisslon- ers adjourned.
