Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners; July 12th,
1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Helvering, the roll
was called and Commissioners Heivering and Campbell and City
Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Dodds absent.
Meeting was held for the purpose of hearing any complaints,
that may be made by property owners as to the fairness and validity
of the valuation placed by the appraisers as per their report on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City for the cost
of excavating, grading and graveling:
Third Street from the south line of Iron avenue south to the
Smoky Hill River; `
Excavating, grading and paving Baker Street from the south
line of South Street to the north line mf Morrison Avenue;
.=xcavating, curbing and graveling Ellsworth Avenue -f rom the
east line of Santa Fe Avenue to the gest line of Osborne Street;
Excavating, curbing and graveling College Avenue -from south
line of South Street to north line of Morrison Avenue;
Curbing, guttering, excavating, grading and graveling Ash
Street from north line of Missouri Pacific Right-of-V4ay to east
line of Olive Street.
For the construction of a lateral storm sewer on Ash Street
from west line of Missouri Pacific Right -of -;ray to east line of
Olive Street.
The appraisers report for the excavating, grading and paving
of Baker Street from south line of South Street to the north line
of Morrison Avenue was taken up and read as follows:

solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the City of
Salina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of excavating, grading
and paving Baker Street in the City of Salina, Kansas from the
south line of South Street to the north line of Morrison Avenue
in said City, as more particularly described and provided for in
Ordinance Number 3216 of the City of Salina; and that each of us wiIL
to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impatrial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such
respective street as above described without regard to the build-
ings or improvements thereon, for the distance to be improved as
set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners ins aid
Ordinance 3216. So help us God.

The appraisers report for the excavating, curbing and
graveling Ellsworth Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Osborne
Street was taken up and read as follows:

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself., does
hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate ,in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of the
property liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing,
excavating, grading and surfacing with sand clay Ellsworth Avenue
in the City of Salina, Kansas, from the east line of Sant -a -- -e
iivenue to the west line of Osborne Street in said City, as more
particularly described and provided for in Ordinance Dumber
3222 of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the
best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on
such respecrive street as above described without regard to the
buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance to be im-
proved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commissioners
in said Ordinance Number 3222. So help us God.

to Olive street was adopted as read. Motion adopted.
The appraisers report for the excavating, grading and
surfacing with sand clay Third Street from Iron Avenue south
to the Smoky Hill River was taken up and read as follows:

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in
the City of Salina, Kansas and is disinterested in any of the
property liable to special assessment for the cost of excavat-
ing, grading and surfacing with sand clay Third Street inthe
City of Salina, Kansas from the south line�ronresouth
to the Smoky Hill River in said City, as more particularly
described and provided for in Ordinance 'lumber 3237 of the City
of Salina, and that each of us will to the best of our judgment
and ability make a true and impartial appraisement of all the
lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective street
as above described without regard to the buildings or improvements
thereon for the distance to be improved as set forth and desig-
