SALINA, KANSAS.
APRIL 26th, 1926.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, April 26th,
1926. Meeting wss called to order by Acting Mayor Campbell, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Chambers and
City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 19th, 1926
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, excavating, grading
and graveling with sand clay College Avenue in the City of
Salina, Kansas from the south line of South Street to the north
line of Morrison Avenue in said City, and providing for the cost
thereof, how toe same shall be assessed and the manner of pay-
ment therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, guttering
and gravelin- of Sheridan Street from Crawford Avenue to Repub-
lic aavenue.
On motion, same was referred to the City Manager.
A liability -indemnity policy was received from R. A. Mayo
for the operation of a taxicab in the City of Sali-D , Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the City Attorney for his approval.
City Manager Ragle submitted the name of N. E. Reed as
Special Police at Watson Vlholesale Grocery Company.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers appointment was con-
firmed by the Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented asking for the location of a
street light at the intersection of Crayford Avenue and I',Iontrose
and Hancock Streets.
On motion same was referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, gutter-
ing and paving Crawford Avenue from Tenth Street to the Mis-
souri Pacific Railway racks.
On motion same was referred to the City 1:1anager.
City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids for
concession privileges in Oakdale Park for the season of 1926.
Bids to be received up to and including Monday, May 10th, 1926
at 5:00 P. M—
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board :i' Commissioners
adjourned.
