APRIL 26th, 1926.
Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 26th,
1926. Meeting was called to order by acting Mayor Campbell, the
roll was called and Commissioners Campbell and Chambers and City
t'ttorney Norris responded. Commissioner Helvering absent.
1,4eeting was held for the purpose of hearing any and all
complaints that may be made as to the validity and fairness of
the valuation placed by the appraisers as per their report on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City on all lots,
parcels and pieces of ground liable for the cost of improving
by excavating, grading and graveling:
Tenth Street from Lincoln Avenue to Grand Avenue;
Thirteenth Street from the Union Pacific Right-of-V'iay to
Grand -'venue ;
for curbing, excavating, grading and graveling:
Lincoln Avenue from Ninth Street to Tenth Street; and
for widening Seventh Street from Vialnut Street to Elm Street.
The appraisers report for the widening of Seventh Street
from "Valnut Street to Elm Street was taken up and read as follows:,

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is an a owner of real estate in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of
the property liable to special assessment for the cost of re -
curbing and guttering Seventh Street in the City of Salina,
Kansas from the north line of Walnut 6treet to the south line
of Elm Street in said City, as more particuarly described and
provided for in Ordinance Number 3217 of the City of Salina; and
that each of us will to the best of our judgment and ability
make a true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and
pieces of ground abutting on such respective street as above
described, without regard to the buildin7s or improvements thereon,
for the distance to be improved as set forth and designated by
the Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance Number 3214. So

On motion of Commissioner Chambers the appraisers report
for the excavating, grading and graveling of Tenth Street
from Lincoln Avenue to Grand Avenue was adopted as read.. 'lotion
adopted.
The appraisers report for the excavating, grading and
graveling of Lincoln=Ivenue_ from Ninth Street to Tenth Street
was taken up and read as follows:

and severally sworn according to law, each for himself does
hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in
the City of Salina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of
the property liable to special assessment for the cost of
curbing, excavating, grading and graveling with sand clay
-L'incoln Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas from the west
line of 14inth 6treet to the west line of Tenth Street in said
City, as more particularly described and provided for in
Ordinance Number 3214 of the City of Salina; and. that each
of us will to the best of our judgment and ability make a
true and impartial appraisement of all the lots and pieces of
ground abutting on such respective street as above described,
without regard to the buildings or improvements thereon., for
the distance to be improved as set forth and designated by the
Board of Commissioners in said Ordinance Number 3214. So
help us God.
