COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING.

SALINA, KANSAS. -
APRIL 12th, 1926.
Regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners, April
12th, 1926. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor
Campbell, the roll was called and Commissioners Chambers and
Campbell and City Attorney Norris responded. Commissioner
Helvering absent. V
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 5th, 1926,
were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance mak-
ing an appropriation for the payment of a certain claim."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and adopted by sections and on its final adopt ion the
roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Chamb-
ers and Campbell (2) Nays: (05 Commissioner Helvering
absent;. The Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered
3233.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled!
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering, excavating,
grading and paving Eleventh Street in the City of Salina, Kan-
sas from the north line of Elm tre et to the south line of
Bishop Street in said City, and providing for the cost thereof,
how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment
therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Chambers and
Campbell (2) Nays: (0) Commissioner Helvering absent.
Acting Mayor approved the same and is numbered 3234.
A petition was presented asking for the extension of
water mains on Eieventh Street from Lincoln Avenue to Grand
Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred
to the City Manager.
A petition was presented asking for the curbing, gutter-
ing and graveling Lincoln Avenue from Ninth Street to 6anta
Fe Avenue.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the City Manager.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the excavating and grading and
for the graveling with sand clay type surface of Third Street
in the City of Salim., Kansas from the south line ofro
Avenue thence south to the Smoky Hill River in said City, and
providing for the cost thereof, how the same shall be assessed
and the manner of paymdnt therefor."
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing for the curbing, guttering, excavat-
ing, grading and graveling of Ash Street in the City of Salina,
Kansas from the west line of the right-of-way of the Dlissouri
pacific Railway Company to the east lineof Olive Street in
said City; and providing for the cost thereof, Dour the same shall
be assessed and the manner of payment therefor.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers same was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
On ;potion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned.
