MARCH 22nd, 1926.
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, March 22nd,
1926. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Kelvering, the
roll was called and Commissioners Helverinr, Chambers and Camp-
bell and City Attorney Norris responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of march 15th, 1926
were read and approved as read.
Bids for the widening of Seventh Street from 4 alnut Street
oto Elm Street were received from:
0. E. Ericksoe.. Lindsborg, Kansas.
H. J. Taylor onstruction Co.., Salina, Kansas.
L. W. Rexroad, Salina, Kansas.
Snyder & Me ilert , Wichita, nansas.
Commissioner Campbell moved that contract be awarded to
L. 1. Rexroad as perhis bid submitted, and that the cretified
checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. "potion

Bids for the excavating, grading, and ?raveling of
Thirteenth Street from Union Pacific Right-of-way to Grand
-venue; and Tenth )treet from Lincoln Avenue to Lirand 'venue;
Also for the curbing, excavating, grading and graveling
Lincoln avenue from Ninth Street to ''enth Street were received
from:
H. J. Taylor 'onstruction Co., Salina, Kansas.
L. V1. Rexroad, Salina, Kansas.
San Oil Construction Co., McPherson, Kansas.
Commissioner Campbell moved that contract be awarded to
L. i. Rexroad as per his bid submitted, and that the certified
checks be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. Plotion adopted.
The following resolution was introduced for second reading:
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of the
City of Salina, Kansas that the curbing and graveling of
Colle eAvenue in the City of Salina, Kansas from the south
line of South Street to the north line of Morrison Avenue in
said City be and the same is hereby determined to be a neces-
sary improvement, and that said College Avenue be curbed and
gravelled within the limits above defined in the manner provided
by law.

On motion of Commissioner Chambers the ordinance was
read and approved by sections and on its final adoption the
roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Chambers,
Campbell and Helvering (3) Nays: (0)
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:
"An ordinance providing that certain lands adjoining or touch-
ing the limits of the City of Salina, consisting of certain plat-
ted additions which have been sub -divided into lots and blooks,
and certain unplatted tracts of land be added to, tbcken into
and made '' parts of the City of Salina., Kansas, and extending the
City limits of said City so as to include such added land, and
repealing all ordinances in conflict with the prolusions of
this ordinance . �I
On motion of Commissioner Campbell the ordinance was read
and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was
called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Helvering, Chamber's
and Campbell (3) Nays: (0) The JJayor approved the same and.
is numbered 3229.
