COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL 1EETING.

SALINA, KANSAS.
NOVEMBER 9th, 1925.
Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners, November
9th, 1925, for the purpose of hearing any complaints that may
be made by property owners as to the valuation placed on certain
lots and pieces of ground b�T appraisers heretofore appointed
by the Board of Commissioners on which to base the cost of
Excavating, grading and surfacing.,with sand clay Prescott
Avenue from Eleventh street to Twelfth 'street;
Curbing, guttering and paving Thirteenth Street from Ash
Street to State Jtreet;
Curbing and guttering Third Street from Iron Avenue
south to the Smoky Hill River.
Mayor �iargett presiding, City Attorney Norris and the
following named commissioners responded to roll call: Hargett,
Chambers and Campbell (3 )
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
Third Street from Iron Avenue south to the Smoky Hill River
was taken up and read as follows:

We , W. S. Frey, C. J. Peck and Clarence Swearingen,
being duly and sever9317 sworn according to law, each for him-
self does hereby swear that he is an owner of real estate in
the City of alina, Kansas, and is disinterested in any of the
property liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing,
and guttering Third street in the City of Salina, Kansas from
the south line of Iron Avenue south to Smoky Dill River in said
City, as more particularly described and provided for in Ordi-
nance Number 3170 of the City of Galina; and that each of sill
to the best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on
such respective street as above described without reg^r d to
the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance to be
improved as set forth and designated by the Board of Commission -
era in said Ordinance Number 3170. So help us God.

On motion of Commissioner Campbell the appraisers report
for the curbing and guttering of Third Street from Iron
Avenue south to Smoky Hill River was adopted as read. I�Iotion
adapted.
The appraisers report for the excavating and grading
and surfacing with sand clay, Prescott Avenue from Eleventh
Street to 'Twelfth Street was taken up and read as follows:

Street to Twelfth Street was adopted as read. Motion adopted.
The appraisers report for the curbing, guttering and
paving Thirteenth Street from Ash 6treet to State Street was
taken up and read as follows:
