COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, SPECIAL MEETING.
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SA LINA, KANSAS.
NO EMBER 2nd , 1925.
Special meeting of the Board of Commissioners,
November 2nd, 1925 for the purpose of hearing any complaints
that may be made by property owners as to the 'Valuation
placed upon their property by appraisers heretofore appointed
by the Board of Commissioners on which to base the cost of
curbing and guttering:
Baker Street from South Street to Morrison Avenue;
Prescott Avenue from Eleventh to Twelfth Streets;
Phillips Street from "ashington to Morrison Avenue;
Twelfth Street from Washington to Prescott Avenue;
Washington Avenue from Eleventh to Phillips Street;
and for the curbing and guttering and surfacing with sand
clay:
Jewell Avenue from Santa Fe Avenue to Osborne Street.
Mayor nargett presiding, the roll was called and Com-
missioners Hargett, Chambers and Campbell and City Attorney
Norris responded. .
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering
of Baker Street from South Street to Morrison Avenue was
taken up and read as follows:

We., W. S. Frey, C. J. Peck and Clarence Swearingen,
being duly and severally sworn according to law, each for
himself does hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of
real estate in the City of Salina, Kansas and is disinter-
ested in any of the property liable to special assessment
for the cost of curbing and guttering Baker Street in the
City of Salina, Kansas from the south line of south Street
to the north line of Morrison 'venue in said City, as more
particularly described and provided for in Ordinance Number
3151 of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the
best of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial
appraisement of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting
on such respective street as above described without regard
to the buildings or improvements thereon, for the distance
to be improved as set forth and designated by the Board of
Commissioners in said Ordinance Number 3151. So help us
God.

Commissioner Campbell moved that the appraisement on Last
9 feet of Lot 29 Block 69 Morrison's Third Addition be reduced
from $109.00 to 480.00; and that appraisement on Lot 30 Blcok 6,
Morrison s Third Addition be reduced from $1,000.00 to $920.00.
Motion adopted.
The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
Twelfth Street from Washington Avenue to Prescott Avenue was
taken up and read as follows:

The appraisers report for the curbing and guttering of
Prescott Avenue from Eleventh Street to Twelfth Street was taken
up and read as follows:

We, W. S. Frey, C. J. Peck and Clarence Swearingen, being
duly and severally sworn according to law, each for himself, does
hereby solemnly swear that he is an owner of real estate in the
City of Salina, Kansas and is disinterested in -any of the property
liable to special assessment for the cost of curbing and guttering
Prescott Avenue in the City of Salina, Kansas from the west line
of Eleventh Street to the east line of Twelfth Street in said City,
as more particuarly desdribed and provided for in Ordinance lumber
3150 of the City of Salina; and that each of us will to the best
of our judgment and ability make a true and impartial appraisement
of all the lots and pieces of ground abutting on such respective
street as above described without regard to the buildings or
improvements thereon, for the distance to be improved as set
forth and de-signated by the Board of Commissioners in said Ordi-
nance Number 3150. So help us God.
