COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
OCTOBER 27th, 1925.
Adjourned meeting of the Board of Commissioners,
October 27th, 1925. Meeting was called to order by Mayor
Hargett; the roll was called and Commissioners Hargett,
Chambers and Campbell and City Attorney Norris responded.
Bids for the purchase of 'eater Works Bonds in the sum
of 0605,082.00•as advertised for were received from:
Central Trust Compdny, Topeka, Kansas,
Columbian Title&Trust Company, Topeka, Kansas.
Branch-Middlekauff Investment Company, Wichita, Kansas.
Stern Bros. & Company, Kansas City, Missouri.
Fidelity National Bank & Trust Co., Kansas City, Missouri.
W. VJ. Watson, Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, bid of Central Trust
Company was rejected and certified check returned to unsuccess-
ful bidder.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, bid of Columbian
Title & Trust Company was rejected, and certified check re-
turned to unsuccessful bidder.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, bid of Branch-Middle-
kauff Company was rejected, and certified check returned to
unsuccessful bidder.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, bid of Stern Bros. &
Company was rejected, and certified check returned to un-
successful bidder.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers bid of Fidelity Nation-
al Bank & Trust Company was rejected, and certified check
returned to unsuccessful bidder.
On motion of Commissioner Campbell, Board of Commission-
ers adjourned until 1:00 P. M.
Commissioner Campbell moved that the bid of V1. W. Vlatson
be accepted and that the Mayor be authorized to tign contract
prepared by City Attorney. Thereupon said contract was
presented and signed by the Mayor and City Clerk on behalf of
the City of Salina and by said W. W. Watson.
On motion the assignment of said contract by W. W. Watson
to The Fidelity National Bank & Trust Company and the assumption
of all of the obligations and liabilities thereof by said
Fidelity National Bank & Trust Company was approved by the
Board of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Chambers, Board of Commissioners
adjourned.
